NOTORIOUS

“Real Change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.”

Oh man, how many times have I had to relearn this lesson? Seriously, How many times have I told a banjo or guitar student they needed to break it down and simplify and then turned around to try to take down a whole mountain in my own life? Some lessons come up again and again in the inner world and the outer world, in personal life and social life. It’s not that we didn’t learn them the first time exactly, it’s just they always have more to teach. 

Let’s remember to take a moment to really choose where our energy is going. Let’s know what that ONE NEXT STEP needs to be- personally for our health, for our dreams & ambitions, and collectively for social and ecological justice. Know what that step is, and then focus our energy on moving that stone. We have that power. Take a deep breath. Have a good laugh and a good cry. Drink Water. VOTE. HELP SOMEONE ELSE VOTE. I love you all. 

The WE(E) PRINTS Project is a community funded art project about healing and growth for individuals and the collective.  Art is for everyone. It connects us, helps us rise, and makes us healthy and more human. The digital world has given us a lot, but I still believe there is something essential that can only be passed from person to person in the real world, and made by hand. When you collect WE(E) PRINTS you support the growth and impact of all my artistic striving. I may only be 5 feet tall, but I am endlessly thankful.

This month, WE(E) PRINTS was able to raise $425 for WHEN WE ALL VOTE- a non profit working to close age and race gaps in voting. I feel pretty good about that. Go us.
